Glass Types

Low E Glass

Low E glass essentially is standard clear glass with a microscopic, transparent coating on its surface that is better at reflecting heat than the glass itself. The "E" stands for emissivity, which allows a material(in this case, the coating) to radiate energy. Which means Homes with Low E glass windows are able to keep the heat in during cold winter months and keep the heat out in those hot summer months which results in having lower U values in your home

Low-Iron Glass

Low-Iron Glass also is a type of high-clarity glass that is made from silica with very low amounts of iron. This low level of iron removes the greenish-blue tint that can be seen especially on larger and thicker sizes of glass

Toughened Glass

Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass or safety glass, is a type of glass that's been heat treated to make it stronger and safer than regular glass. Toughened glass is made by heating glass to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling it with jets of air. This process creates compressive stress in the glass, Making it up to five times stronger than regular glass. When toughened glass breaks, it shatters into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp shards. which makes it safer as there is less risk of injury from broken glass. Toughened glass is often used in windows and doors especially in vulnerable areas of the building

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is a type of safety glass consisting of two or more layers of glass with one or more thin polymer interlayers between them. This glass holds together when shattered as the strength of the polymer layer bonds the glass together preventing the glass breaking into large sharp pieces

Argon Gas Filled Glass

Argon is a gas that's injected into the space between the panes of double and triple glazed units to improve their energy efficiency and performance. Argon is Denser and heavier than air, which slows down the movement of warm air and helps keep the heat in. Argon can improve a double glazed windows u values, or energy rating by over 30%. Argon's density and weight prevent condensation. Argon is nonreactive, which helps ensure the windows stay effective for longer.

Leaded Glass

Leaded glass units are windows that combine traditional leaded glass designs with modern double glazing to improve energy efficiency. Leaded nits come in a wide range of styles including Diamond lead, Square lead, Queen Anne lead or special designs

Georgian Glass

Georgian Glass is a type of glass which has upvc bars fitted inside a double or triple glazed unit. Creating the illusion of individual panes of glass. This style of window was popular in the Georgian era, Hence the name, and has remained popular due to its timeless aesthetic appeal.

Specialist Roof Glass

Self-cleaning glass

Self cleaning glass features a special coating that reacts with UV rays in sunlight. This photocatalytic process, loosens and breaks down organic dirt particles on the surface of the glass

Double And Triple Glazing

Double Glazed Glass

Double glazed glass are units that have two panes of glass separated by a spacer bar and filled with an insulated gas, such as Argon. the spacer bar also contains a desiccant material to absorb moisture and prevent condensation.

Double glazed windows can reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills

Soundproofing

The extra thickness of double glazed windows can provide enhanced security for your home.

Comfort

Double glazed windows can increase interior comfort by retaining heat in a room and stopping cold air from entering.

Triple Glazed Glass

Triple glazed windows have three panes of glass with an insulating gas called Argon between them. The extra pane and gas layer makes triple glazed windows more energy efficient, quieter and safer than double or single glazed windows

Energy efficiency

Triple glazed windows are more energy efficient than double glazed windows, with an A++ energy rating compared to double glazing's A rating.

Noise reduction

The extra layer of glass and gas reduces noise transmission giving your more peace from he outside world.

Security

Triple glazed windows are more difficult to break through. Making your home safer
